Introduction
Welcome to the Woodplay Playset Idea Configurator. This tool will allow you to build your own playset from the ground up or using an existing combo as a starting point.
Before you begin, there are some things you should know about positioning.
Positioning
All positions are determined as though you were facing the side on which you are adding or editing parts.
When you select to add an item to your playset, if the item fits in one panel you will be prompted to choose the left or right panel. Keep this rule and the diagram to the left in mind when selecting where to place it.
Getting Started
The first screen you will see will ask you to choose a base style and gives you the options of Playhouse Series (square base) and Outback Series (angled base).
If you have used the configurator before and saved one of your ideas, you can also click on "Load Playset" to load your previously saved idea to continue building it.
Otherwise, after you choose a base style, you will be prompted to choose a deck height. Then the last step before you can begin building your custom playset is to choose a combo to start with as a base.
The Grid
The squares that make up the grid represent 6ft by 6ft sections of a yard. Each grid square is selectable but only squares that have Add-ons or playset bases in them can have items added to them.

Customizing Your Playset
Now that you have a base to start from, you should see a tool tip appear, pointing at a square on the grid upon which the playset rests. The tool tip explains that you can add or edit an item to the playset by clicking on a square that is next to a side of the playset.
Once you click one of these squares, you will have options to choose from.
If there is one or more items already in that square, they will be listed in the area on the lower left hand side of the configurator window. We will go into more detail about those options later or you can click here to jump to that section now.
The upper left area of the configurator window will display a list of categories for add-ons and accessories that can go in the square you selected. Click the name of a category to see a list of options and then click on the option you want to add to the playset.
In most cases you will be prompted to choose either the left or right panel on the side of the playset that the square adjoins. Some add-ons and accessories will have other options to choose from; such as color or direction (for tube and hurricane slides).
Finding an item
Once you have selected a combo or started building your idea with the configurator, you will have different add-ons and accessories on your playset. These items are associated with the square they are attached to, which means if you want to select them again to either edit or remove, you simply click the square that they are on. Once you do you will see a list of the items that are associated with that square in the lower left side of the configurator screen.
You will also notice that when you select a square that has items in it, everything else will fade out so that the items in that square stand out better. To make everything fully visible again just click on a square that has nothing in it.
Changing the roof
The roof of the playset can be changed by clicking on the square that the base is on to get the items for that square to appear in the lower left section of the configurator screen. There will be an item called "Outback Roof" or "Playhouse Roof" depending on which base you started with. Clicking that item will give you the color choices for the roof, including a wood roof option.
Add-ons
When you select a square you will see a list of options appear in the upper left side of the configurator window. This list will contain categories like Slides, Swings, and Ladders. Only categories containing Add-ons that will go in the square you selected will appear.
Click on a category to see a list of items that will connect to the playset from the square you selected. Most Add-ons will require you to then select which panel, either the left or the right panel, to connect. However, some take up the whole side of the playset that the square represents.
If the Add-on has other options, such as color, you will see a little picture of a painter's pallet next to the name of the item in the list located in the lower left of the configurator window. Clicking the name of the item will then open a small dialog allowing you to pick the color or other options for that Add-on.
Accessories
The accessories are different from the Add-ons in that they can only be attached to the base and are not graphically represented in the configurator.
To add an accessory to your idea, click the square with your base in it and then click "Accessories" in the category list in the upper left area of the configurator. Then just click on the accessory you want to add to include it with your idea. And as with the Add-ons, if there are any options, like color, that can be changed for the accessory you will see a little painter's pallet next to the name of the accessory in the list in the lower left corner of the configurator.
Removing an item
If you place an item then change your mind or start with a base combination and decide to remove an item, click on the square that the item is in. You will know you have the right square when you see the name of the item in the list that appears in the lower left side of the configurator. Beside each item in the list is a trash can icon , click that icon and confirm whether or not you want to remove the item from your idea. You can always add it back again later if you change your mind.
Editing an item
Some items have options that you can change, most common being color. When you

Saving your custom playset
Click "Save Playset" to open the saving dialog window.
You will be prompted to enter a unique name and a description for your idea. The name is required and should not match the name of any ideas you may have previously created. If you do enter the name of one of your existing ideas, you will be prompted to either change it or overwrite the existing idea instead.
The description is not required but may be a good way to keep track of what you had in mind with the idea when you created it. The description will be viewable to others if you choose to share your idea on Facebook. It also gets sent to Woodplay dealers when you request a price for your idea.
Number of Ideas
You can save multiple ideas. The maxiumum number of ideas you can save depends on whether you are a registered user or not.
